The 8th annual New York Mobile Film Festival (NYMFF), held on July 10, 2025, at the iconic Regal Cinemas in Manhattan, was a vibrant celebration of innovation in filmmaking. The event brought together an international lineup of visionary creators and a dynamic audience of industry professionals, media, and film enthusiasts.
This year’s festival featured a remarkable selection of films shot entirely on mobile devices—including smartphones, tablets, drones, and GoPros—demonstrating that storytelling and creativity transcend traditional equipment. Submissions poured in from over 30 countries, representing both emerging talents and established filmmakers.
“We’re proud to witness how this community continues to expand and redefine what’s possible in cinema,” said Dawin Rodriguez, Festival Producer. “This year’s program was a powerful showcase of innovation, resilience, and fearless storytelling from mobile creators worldwide.”
The event drew a full house at Regal Cinemas, where attendees applauded the boundary-pushing work of the selected filmmakers. The festival was also streamed online, giving a wider audience the opportunity to experience the official selections from anywhere in the world.
